Needing Rain

It is pretty easy to tell in this part of the world how we are doing for rain. There are several farm ponds that I check on my way to and from work and several of them are very low. It is an easy mark on whether or not it is time for rain.
What if we had a mark like that that would give us a clear measure if it was time for say,
time to eat, or time to pray. What if our lives spiritual depths could be measured in such a clear way. Would it be easier for our friends to say...Hey look her/his spiritual measure is low and I think we should pray for them. What if someone who is usually helpful or kind is crabby check their spiritual depth and see if that is not running low and pray for them.

The next time--every time - you see someone without a smile, friend or stranger, pray for them.
