'Heart little left of Center'

This is the title of a book by William Slone Coffiin, a wonderful theologian and thinker. The heart is you know a little left of center. And perhaps what we need to remember and what we need to do is work----all of us to work to bring it back .. that is... that is we need to bring our hearts to center...bring love to the center of our being and who we are.
We have such wonderful opportunities to do such things. These chances come to us in so many ways. We can be truthful, giving, appreciative, forgiving, hopeful, sharing, peaceful, moderating, and we can be those who lead the world in loving.
We can lead the world in loving and bring our hearts back to the center. Not off sides. Not away from the middle of our chest but right there in the center..that center of love.
Can you think of ways this Christmas that you can do that? Can you think of ways this New Year you can do this. Perhaps this should be the time of year where we think most clearly about centering our hearts on the love we have and on sharing that love all the time.
