Delight

Take delight in the Lord,
and God will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in God, and God will act.”
—Psalm 37:4-5

I heard a child in the store last night just squeal with delight. I don't know what brought that to her spirit, but some times I long to ‘squeal’ with such sheer abandon.

perphaps that is what we need to do in lent as well as be penitent...we need to find such delighth in the world and all we have and all we are that we can feel ourselves filled iwth the joy of delight.
That we can squeel if only internally.

I mean really don't we want sometimes to let go and feel that kind of joy that children know.
and the beautiy of it is that we don't just feel that joy because of something huge, we feel that because of something that is amazing and unusual. something as delightlful as the singing of the birds early in the morning or a beautiful glimpse of the sunset.
And then find the desire of your heart and feel it in you in every way....it is yours.... God will act. God will act, God will act.

joy of joys all the time
pray and feel the joy coming to you in the love of God's desire for good for you in everything.
pure delight

God abide
