Jungle View

Traveling thru
the jungle in north India
we see life in new form
the trees tower hundred years old
the river rocks as big as tires rolled smooth
the vast expanse of life to be seen
but one must look
and one must listen
and be ready...
look there a tree with only half it's roots in the ground
the other ground washed out from under it
look there a footprint, catprint, leopard
as fresh as five minutes as big as my hand outstretched
look there a footprint as big as a pie plate
left by an elephant walking just there
look there the vultures
on cliff and on tree branch there must be 20 no 40 right there
look there an eagle and mate on the tree top
watching the world uncaring we're here.

when you look out from wherever your vantage what do you see?
God's wonders and hand.

God abides
