Getting Ready

I love a parade
Where people line up and cheer
Once the band took a wrong turn
and went around the Baptist church
Ran back in step
The Parade kept going.

What if everyone followed behind the wrong parade?
If the leaders turned and others blithely followed
We'd end up running around
Trying to figure out where were going...
And trying to get back in line.

And the crowd cheered and they rounded the building
Still playing
still playing
