waiting

"i believe that I shall see the Goodness of God in the land of the living. Wait, for God. be patient... Wait"

There was a sweet little lady in the nursing home in Utah where we would hold services once a month who said..."I've got a question for you....Did GDD FORGET ME?"
It must have felt that way to her because so many of her friends were gone. Her husband and two of her children. She thought maybe God forgot.
We assured and re assured her that God knew her by name and would call her home as she said God would do, in God's good time.
A friend told me the other day about a man who had been in the room across from her husband who kept crying out, for hours, "God come bring your chariot and take me home!" over and overe and over. Finally a kindly but astute and obviously faithful nurse said to him, "Darlin' Don't you iknow God's a busy person and he'll come and get you as soon as God can." She said it with authority. He settled down, and God came about two hours later.

We wait, but we wait in the sure and certain knowledge of God's incredible love for us.
Thanks be to God

God abide
There's work to be done!
