Was There One?

Was there One who followed
Who listened to his word
Who believed that he would
Surely rise again?

Was there One who followed
Who dared not speak
And tell the others remember
Three days he said…

Was there One who followed
Who held the promise in their heart
That surely he would come
To be with them again.

Was there One who rejoiced
When they heard the women
Proclaiming he was gone
From the tomb just as he said.

Was there One who cried
Tears of joy and hope
Knowing all their pain
And this day been redeemed.

Was there One who followed
Now knowing all was true
Of God’s amazing love
reborn
