'baby' Lamas
Grace and peace.
'baby' Lamas are not holy ones but rather the four-legged furry ones. On our way to church Sunday I saw two young beside a female in one field. I turned around to get a better look. Were they lamas or calves that had wandered over. They were lamas! They were little and all black and furry and had cute little pointy ears. One was nursing and the other resting on the ground nearby. We look at them as being adorable. And they were.
It's also calving season here and with the new 'techniques' used by many ranchers many females give birth on the same day..or within a short range of days. You look out in the fields and there are all these little calves some steadier than others at their mothers sides.
New life that Spring thing is all around. Even during the big freeze we had a couple of weeks ago now the branches with their complete coating of ice had the buds already on them. They looked like tiny red bulbs or lights evenly spaced down the branches. It's coming. It is that hope-filled time of year.
So, baby lamas, baby cows, new leaves, all point to the turning of the seasons. (I know some of you may not think this is true with another foot or two of new snow on the East Coast of the US). But the days are passing and will surely come the next season Spring.
Blessings to you all. Thanks for keeping in touch. I'm on facebook as bobbiemcgarey so check in there too.
