Lights Out Night
I have been reading about the power outage in the Dallas Fort Worth area following a storm Tuesday. I know Johnny and Molly don't have electricity yet. The company has brought in crews from all over to do the work. What a wind.
Last Summer our nephew Daniel came and stayed with us and our lights went out too. It was seemingly quite a surprise to him. I guess they don't have that kind of trouble in Phoenix yet.
What if as families we had lights out nights ...Say once a month. You know --you all had to be together and doing something but without electricity. The whole night. No extra load of laundry, no computer, for anyone, no TV, and whatever else that meant. OK so you can keep the refrigerator on. But no real cooking. Dishes? Washed by hand by everyone!
Ok extreme! I hear you say. Well whatever it takes what if you did this once a month and enjoyed one another's company, played a card game by candlelight, read aloud to one another. ????? I think it is worth a try..
Many cultures live by the rising and setting of the sun. More in tune with our bodies and the world around us. Sun rise/Son rise
OH JOHN......
