In honor of Patti Kirk

wheat
ready for harvest
strong true heads full
bending to the Oklahoma wind
so as not to break
yielding to---spirit--ruah

over the ridge the procession came
through the wheat
car-car-car-car-car-car-car-car-car----
like the movie Field of Dreams
they will come

and someday we all
will come to a place of race
like they brought Patti's body
her spirit living
still
in the wind

few
have have been carried
by so many

love overflowing for one past
to those still present
needing that love
overflowing--
and on and on and on and on

God abide
